How Fragile We Are

Last week Hurricane Katia having blown her way through the Caribbean got blown north and east. She hit the shores of the UK. She was much weakened but trees came down, roofs were damaged and waves crashed up beaches.

Standing in a field I felt a sense of awe watching this massive display of pure natural energy blowing trees around like they were specks of dust. It made me feel small and insignificant; a dot.

Today the emergency services are striving to rescue trapped miners in South Wales. We know for certain that two have already perished. I hope and pray the remainder are found safe and alive.

We all face risks and dangers every day. Whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever you are doing; take care, be safe and live/love every minute of it. The events today seek to remind us how fragile we are…. God bless.
